Trent Reznor losing his touch?

If there's one band I hold in high regards and whom I'd consider one of the most versatile, revolutionary, and inspiring artists to materialize since The Who kicked in their amps to make distortion and Cream rewrote the books on what's "heavy", Trent Reznor's Nine Inch Nails triumphs with unmatched rhythms and deeply intense masterpieces. There has never once been another band of whom I've enjoyed every album from beginning to end. But after the release of The Slip, I feel like he's lost of that which he's once grasped. Creativity, emotion, and deepness altogether. Any opinions or facts to which why he's slowly slipping from what Nails once was?
