Is my girlfriend cheating?

I had to leave NYC for a few months, and my girlfriend and I talk every day. She and her friend from high school seem to be close, and she says that they are platonic friends. I haven't really pressed her on it, trying to be cool. But should I be worried? They did go out for a time in high school.
