Joining the army(people in the military or parents of soldiers answer?

me and my wife joined the army at the same time. i am 23 and she is 20, anyways i love the millitary and everything about it, the decipline and the physical nature all of it. but i was medically discharged because of my knees.i wish i would have joined the military way sooner than i did. basic training is no where near as scary as you would think, its kinda like camp..... that you get yelled at alot but you get over that. any who i took my asfab and i scored a 68 and that sounds bad but it actually is a very good score. i could pick any job in the military. in your case you may have to go 11b which is infantry but dont let that scare you. about yourr parents, they just love you and dont want you hurt. thats what any parent would do. but if they dont let you join do it like you said when your 18. im 100% positive when they see you after basic they will be as proud as every other parent in the military. dont let them discourage you now.
