Jamaica, Ocho Rios, Waves? 10 points!?

My family and I love to body surf on the waves when we go vacationing. It is half of our vacation if not more, so I'm curious if the waves in Ocho Rios are high or if they're tame(or barely existent). Would you say the ones in Playa Del Carmen(Mexico) are higher? Any info you have about the waves will help.
