Does it mean she likes me if....?

I got tickets to a debutantes ball, so I phoned up the girl I like & asked if she wanted to be my partner but she told me that she is one of the debutantes & that she already has an escort with whom she had to dance etc... At the ball I was standing in the foyer with my cousin & the girl I like was standing a couple of feet away with her back towards me & she was talking to her escort who kept on looking at me as she was talking & when I would look at them, he would look away but then would look at me again. Does this mean that she likes me, if she was presumably talking about me or does it mean something else?? I'm 19 next month & she just turned 19 in September.
