In Nineteen Seventy-Seven by David Peace, every chapter starts with a excerpt of dialog from a radio show called "The John Shark Show" broadcast daily on Radio Leeds. The host seems to be quite a right-wing shock jock and seems to host a phone-in show. Was John Shark ever a real DJ? Is there anyone who presented this kind of show on Radio Leeds in the late 1970's who John Shark could be based on? Thanks for any help.
